If we were asked what is the best value plant we have grown, this, from a list of many thousands, would have to be a contender. It just never stops flowering, even through the winter in mild locations. The flowers are not especially large: each about an inch and a half across and mid pink  with a darker throat and delicate veining through the petals rewarding close examination.

Anisodonta El Rayo is an evergreen shrub with airy, branching stems cloaked with slightly leathery mid green leaves ,it lacks the showy blowsiness of its cousins, lavateras and hollyhocks and some may find the proportion of leaf to flower too high but is altogether refined.Generally hardy  we recommend in northern gardens keeping autumn purchased plants in a cold greenhouse or on a windowsill (it would make an excellent conservatory resident) or alternatively put it near a house wall for the first winter.

Well drained soil conditions in full sun.

Height: 100- 180cm

Spread :80- 150cm

Please read our notes before placing the order:

1. The pictures in this listing are examples of the available plant at maturity and do not indicate anything in regard to size of plant at the point of sale. You will receive an organically produced young plant grown in a 9cm pot for planting immediately or to grow on (pot removed, when possible, to reduce plastic waste)

2. Seasonal difference in plants: Please be aware if you are new to gardening, that the plants we supply are mostly herbaceous perennials and many go dormant in winter. You may receive what looks like an empty pot or piece of root. This will produce new growth in spring.

3. The date the Royal mail label is bought (tracking number added as sent against your orders) is the date your order is lined up for picking. It is likely to be put into the post a couple of days later.

Thank you.
